Modified image from Google Maps shows the directions to the major local volcanoes from Elsa's home in Calderón. Here is a Google Maps link to the source with Elsa's home in the middle. If you zoom in, you will see Elsa's home. If you scroll down (click and drag), you will eventually see Tungurahua spewing smoke. It erupted violently on the day we arrived in Quito, but it was not visible from Quito and had no discernible effect there.
